My greatest vocational passion is guiding and collaborating with clients as they explore, heal and integrate the various parts of themselves. Providing psychotherapy for others is the fulfillment of a deep calling that I undertake with gratitude and humility. My therapy approach is mindfulness-centered, somatic, holistic and experiential. In practice I draw upon my training in various powerful and gentle therapeutic modalities, including Hakomi Therapy, Expressive Arts, Shadow Work and Gestalt Therapy. My focus is on individual counseling with adults and adolescents, as well as couples counseling, addressing relationship struggles, personal growth, life-transitions, depression, anxiety, trauma and stress-management.
I earned my Master of Arts in Holistic Counseling and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Mental Health, both from Salve Regina University, an accredited University Program in Counseling and Mental Health. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Idaho and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Rhode Island. I am also a Graduate of the Comprehensive Training in Hakomi Body-Centered Psychotherapy as well as a Certified Hakomi Therapist. After my own studies of the Hakomi Method, I served at a Teacher's Assistant for Hakomi Trainings in the Northeast United States. For more information on Hakomi please visit: hakomiinstitute.com
In addition, for over 3 years I was an Adjunct Instructor in the Holistic Clinical Mental Health Counseling Graduate Program at Salve Regina University in Newport Rhode Island, teaching a course on the Body-Mind Connection.
